How is the Idle Hybrid Constructed?
Idle has two models that are made with Certipur certified foams which means that they consist of no PBDE’s, TDCPP or ozone depleters.
They are both 14″ tall, 2-sided and are made with carry handles for ease in moving around the mattresses.
They are also excellent for all sleepers: side, stomach, back and combo sleepers (individuals that rotate between positions throughout the night.)
The hybrid mattresses are also recommended for people with back pain because the springs will give your spine support while the foam or latex will cushion your pressure points.
You can sleep cool on these mattresses because the materials that they are made out of are known for their cooling properties.
THE IDLE HYBRID
1 ″ Quilted Foam Cover— Contouring foam is woven into the upper layer which offers it softness.
1 ″ Response Foam— This layer is developed with aerated foam which offers cooling and bounce.
2 ″ Cooling Buoyancy Foam— Made without visco elastic chemicals to remain cooler than memory foam and provides far better pressure relief for areas like hips and back.
6 ″ Pocketed Coils— This layer acts as the core support of the mattress with high quality steel pocketed innerspring coils that go all the way to the edge of the mattress.

IDLE LATEX HYBRID
This mattress comes with a choice of either Talalay or Dunlop latex.
Cover— The all cotton cover actually has a 1-inch layer of natural wool woven into it to offer more comfort and additional softness.
3 ″ Gel Buoyancy Foam— 100% Natural Dunlop Latex or Talalay layers offers cooling and bounce to the mattress along with providing it more firmness than regular memory foam. The latex is naturally hypoallergenic and has anti-microbial properties, too.
6 ″ Pocketed Coils— This layer has high quality steel pocketed innerspring springs that function as the core support of the mattress.
They go all the way to the edge of the mattress for optimal firmness from edge to edge.

Latex tends to sleep extremely cool because it is aerated and won’t trap heat the way a traditional memory foam mattress does.
Rather than using glue to keep the layers together, Idle Sleep uses button tufting which is an eco-friendly method.
How firm is the Idle?
The Idle Sleep mattresses can be found in 2 firmness options: Medium and Luxury Firm.
You have the choice of deciding upon a mattress with 2 Luxury Firm sides, 2 Medium sides or Medium on one side and Luxury Firm on the other side.
The Medium is around a 6.5 out of 10, where 10 is the firmest. The Luxury Firm is around a 9 out of 10.
Heavier individuals will discover the Luxury Firm more supportive.
EDGE SUPPORT
This is a measure of how supportive the bed is around its border.
The coils on the Idle Sleep mattresses go right to the edge of the mattresses to supply the best edge support whether you are resting on the edge or sleeping near it.
MOTION TRANSFER
There is very little motion transfer despite the fact that these mattresses do have some bounce. The separately enclosed coils isolate movement better than traditional inner springs.
